JAMES BRANDON LEWISBorn in Buffalo, NY, James Brandon Lewis has been described as a Visionary Composer and Tenor saxophonist. He was named by Ebony Magazine as one of the "7 young players to watch in today's scene". He has released 4 albums as a leader, 3 achieving critically acclaim.
QUINCY TROUPEPoet, performer, and editor Quincy Troupe was born July 22, 1939, in St Louis, Missouri. He is the author of Miles: The Autobiography (1989), which received an American Book Award. Among his honors and awards are fellowships from the National Foundation for the Arts and many more.

THOMAS SAYERS ELLISThomas Sayers Ellis grew up in Washington, D.C. and earned his MFA from Brown University. He is the author of Skin, Inc. (2013) and The Maverick Room (2005). He co-founded the Dark Room Collective in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and received a Whiting Award in 2005.
HAMIET BLUIETTBorn in 1940 in Illinois, Hamiet Bluiett has been a major figure in the free jazz scene for over 50 years. Universally regarded as one of the most important baritone saxophonists of all time.
