To which Mr. Coleman replied, “The only keys I have are the keys in my pocket.” He then proceeded to blow the blues away, turning night into day, taking Bird for a ride out past Pluto, out past the sun, and on and on and on, to the beginning and end of forever and “The only keys he had were the keys in his pocket.” Hold onto your harmolodic dreams Old Eyes and in your Caravan of Dreams, take us all for that ride in Prime Time. Keep on dancing in our heads, dancing in our hearts, dancing to the D-man’s thunderous bass lines, with his beloved Katherine held close in his arms, until loneliness is a thing of the past and we remember and remember and remember that “The only keys we have are the keys in our pockets." -Joe McPhee |
