AFA is honored to present the great Marshall Allen, now 98 years of age, and the leader of the Sun Ra Arkestra, to lead a special group of NYC all-stars on February 3 at SHIFT. The music of the great Sun Ra is a living tradition being passed on to new generations of artists. This event will feature some of the best up-and-coming musical artists as well as those who are reaching their prime to perform under the futuristic leadership of Marshall Allen. This will be the closing event for the Artists & Friends Campaign, an annual fundraising appeal which brings AFA’s community of artists and supporters together to ensure the sustainability of AFA.
