Founded in 1996, Arts for Art is a New York City-based non-profit arts organization. Our flagship event is the annual Vision Festival where we present music, dance, visual arts, poetry and ideas. We present performances in a manner that helps to create a sense of community. We hold meetings and panel discussions on relevant issues to our community. We run a music education program to bring creative music to the underserved.

Work with Arts for Art’s Artistic Director to create and distribute PR content. Utilize all communications platforms (website, social media and email) to raise awareness and build a larger and more diverse audience and press coverage for Arts for Art’s programs.

Job description
Work with Arts for Art’s Artistic Director to create and distribute PR content. Utilize all communications platforms (website, social media and email) to raise awareness and build a larger and more diverse audience and press coverage for Arts for Art’s programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead digital marketing efforts to promote events
- Maintain website event and program pages
- Promote programs on social media
- Analyze user engagement data to track effectiveness of public communications
- Manage ticket sales listings on Eventbrite
- Oversee data collection, management, and analysis around events, fundraising campaigns, and operations
- Press for events: research major performers, write press releases and stay in touch with press
- Identify community organizations with whom AFA can engage around promotional partnerships
- Make sure that all events are listed on publicly accessible listings sites
- Maintain archives of event photos, videos, and press coverage
- Design and send weekly event newsletters
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Highly detail-oriented, organized and reliable
- Effective time-management and able to work independently
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Versatile and able to manage many projects simultaneously
- Proficiency with Mac computers, Google Suite, Word, Excel, and Dropbox. Some knowledge of Adobe programs is helpful but not essential
HOURS:
- 35 to 40 hours per week
- Work events on nights and weekends, as needed
COMPENSATION:
- Salary: $40,000 per year
