Amir Bey’s work covers a wide range of passions from mixed media sculpture, the occult arts, including astrology, tarot, and other oracles; performance art, writing, curating, and organizing events. Some of his current visual work are hanging sheet metal sculptures that are percussive instruments. PLANETS, a series of mobile entities representing the planets used in astrology, is the most recent of his mobile instruments. Amir loves the brush and ink and has been painting sumi-e on scrolls, fabric, and metal.
Amir has been a practitioner of the occult arts since 1968, and a practicing astrologer since 1971, studying and reading thousands of charts.
